Hi!  Our names are Katie Graham and Kate Moog and we are honored to be candidates in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student Visionary of the Year (SVOY) campaign. This seven-week initiative empowers high school students like us to raise critical funds for LLS to advance their mission of curing blood cancers and improving the quality of life for patients and their families. 

We are asking for your support in helping us achieve our fundraising goal of $100,000.  Every dollar raised brings us closer to a world without blood cancer, supporting groundbreaking research, patient services, and advocacy efforts that make a real difference in the lives of those affected.  Our campaign begins on January 22 and runs through March 15, 2025.

We are joined by several of our peers from Notre Dame High School,  as well as students from Lawrence High School, Lawrence Middle School, Princeton High School and Princeton Day School.

This campaign comes with a deeply personal connection to the cause. Kate’s mother, Jen, has been battling multiple myeloma, a form of cancer that affects plasma cells, since 2014. 

“Our campaign is inspired by my mom, Jen, who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2014.  Thankfully my mom is in remission now but there is no cure for Myeloma and we won’t rest until there is” said Kate. 

Katie shares why this is important to her, saying, “we would be so grateful for the support of our community in this journey.  Every dollar donated makes a difference, bringing us closer to a cure.”

All donations to LLS are tax exempt and your generosity truly does make a difference as we work to save lives not someday, but today!
